| Quinton: "Look, I wrote my name on the balloon!" Me: "Wow! There's just one thing...it's backwards." He studies it for a little bit, then: "Mommy, it's opposite day for balloons."

| Over the past week the several new souls have been added to God's kingdom! A new family of 4 placed membership at Ottawa...the father was already baptized and the other 3 decided to give their life to Christ! Also, today, Adam Brooks was baptized!!! He is my cousin's husband, and we are just so excited! Praise God for all those who choose to follow Him!

| We have had two deaths in our congreation this past week; brother Dusty Reichart and sister Virginia Benton both passed away on Wednesday. Please pray for these two families, that they might have comfort and peace knowing they lived Christian lives. |

| Lee and I went and saw "Phantom" Thursday night....FANTASTIC!!!!!! It was at the Music Hall in Kansas City and the place is just amazing. I just had to stand still and look around at everything...I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Thank you to my husband for such a great present! In other news, Tessa went potty and poopy on the toilet this morning! It was probably just good timing on my part, but she seemed perfectly at ease with it...YEAH!!! |

| Leave it to my husband to have a completely crazy idea...and pull it off. Tonight we were outside and our neighbors were out too. Lee informs us that we are going to have a camp fire...in our yard. (My brother was also over, but was buying brats.) My neighbor and I start laughing at the absurdity of the idea and tell him he can't do that. After explaining all the reasons why this can't be done, I'm under the impression the conversation is over. Lee and Quinton go inside for something and I don't think too much about it. After a while they come back out and Lee now informs us that the fireman is coming over to check out the yard. WHAT?!?!?! He had called the fire department to ask about it, and sure enough, here comes the firetruck with 3 firemen! My neighbor and I were laughing so hard, as was Thomas, who had returned by this point. The 3 men (I'm thinking things must have been a bit slow back at the ole firehouse) look around, listen to Lee's plea of what a perfect day it is for brats, and give him the permit! Who would have known? Only my husband... |
